Guwahati, Mar‌ 8 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Tezpur on Friday on a two-day visit to Assam. He was received by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Tezpur airport. Later in the day, Modi will unveil the memorial and the largest statue of Ahom general Bir Lachit Borphukan in Jorhat's Hollangapar and he will address a public meeting in Jorhat. The PM will lay the foundation of three projects costing Rs 1555 crore to enhance domestic oil refining capacity in multiple facilities across Assam. He will spend the night today in Kaziranga.
