Itanagar, June 13 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Pema Khandu on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive term.
Modi expressed hope that 'Khandu-led team will ensure that the state develops at an even faster pace”.
Taking to micro-blogging platform X, PM Modi wrote: “Congratulations to Shri Pema Khandu Ji on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. I would also like to congratulate all those who took oath as Ministers. My best wishes to them for their future endeavours of serving the people. This team will ensure that the state develops at an even faster pace.”
Khandu was sworn-in as the 11th Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh in a ceremony at DK Convention Centre here today. Deputy CM Chowna Mein and 10 other Cabinet Ministers also took oath at the event attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Assam CM and convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma, Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang and other dignitaries.
The Home Minister while congratulating Khandu, Mein, and all others who have been sworn in today, said, “The BJP, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji, is committed to the peace, progress, and development of Arunachal Pradesh.”
The BJP Chief while extending his heartfelt felicitations to CM Khandu and Deputy CM Mein, exuded confidence that under the guidance of PM Modi, Khandu’s dedicated and innovative leadership will accelerate the momentum of development and lead the state towards the envisioned 'Viksit Arunachal' and contribute effectively to Modi ji's vision of 'Viksit Bharat'.
