PM Modi to attend DGPs Conference in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Nov 25 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the DGPs conference scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 29 to December 1, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan announced on Monday. According to the official schedule, PM Modi will stay in Odisha for three days, from November 29 to December 1. The Prime Minister is set to participate in the conference of Directors General of Police (DGPs), being held in the state for the first time. Modi is expected to arrive in Bhubaneswar on the night of November 29 and will remain until the afternoon of December 1, Harichandan said. Apart from Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, senior officers of the Intelligence Bureau, DGPs of all states and union territories, the Director-General of CRPF, and chiefs of RAW, NSG, and SPG will attend the three-day event, sources said. Odisha DGP Y B Khurania said the three-day conference to be attended by the DGPs of all states and union territories besides the DG of all central forces will deliberate on the national security issues. The DGP on Monday reviewed the security preparedness in view of the visit of the Prime Minister, the Home Minister and the NSA advisor and also the winter session of the Assembly session beginning here from Tuesday. Khurania said a three-tier security arrangements has been made with the deployment of 30 platoons of police forces and more than 300 senior police officers.
