Bhubaneswar, May 22 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Odisha again on May 29 to campaign for the BJP candidates for the last phase of election to Six Lok Sabha and 42 Assembly seats in the state.
This would be Modi’s fourth leg of electioneering in Odisha as he had already visited and addressed a series of election meetings on May 6, 10 and May 20 last.
The Prime Minister had addressed Vijaty Sanklap Samavesh of the party in eight parliamentary constituencies during his electioneering within a fortnight and held two road shows, one in Bhubaneswar on May 10 and the other in the pilgrim town of Puri on May 20.
According to Vijaypal Singh Tomar, incharge of BJP’s Odisha affairs, Modi during his visit to the state on May 29, will address two public meetings in Kendrapara and Balasore, the two parliamentary constituencies, going to polls along with four other Lok Sabha seats and 42 Assembly seats in the last phase of election on June 1.
Meanwhile, in a bid to strengthen the electioneering in Odisha, a host of BJP’s star campaigners have lined up in the next few days to address a series of election meetings in support of party candidates.
Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday held a road show in Sambalpur in support of party candidate and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Cine star Arun Govil today addressed election meetings at Champua,Telkoi, Dhenkanal and Jayedev Assembly constituencies.
BJP sources said Party President J P Nadda will address a series of election meetings on May 23 at Karanjia, Dhamnagar,Barachana and Erasama Balikuda Assembly constituencies.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will for the first time visit the state for electioneering on May 23 to address election meetings in Chilka and Mahanga Assembly constituencies.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who had already addressed a series of public meetings during the last two phases of elections in the state, is also coming again on Thursday to address public meetings in Sambalpur, champua, Deogarh and Baramba Assembly constituencies.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah who had extensively campaigned in support of party candidates and held road shows, will also visit the state again on May 25 to address election rallies in Baripada, Chandbali, Korei and Nimapara.
Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Odisha are being held in four phases, two of them already held on May 13 and May 20 covering 9 Lok Sabha and 63 Assembly seats and the rest to be held on May 25 and June 1 for 12 more Lok Sabha and 84 Assembly seats.
On the other hand, the ruling BJD had also intensified its electioneering in the state with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his trusted man V KPandian, the bureaucrat turned politician, addressing a series of public meetings daily and holding road shows in support of the party candidates.
Patnaik, who had already held two road shows in the state capital,will be holding another road show in the state capital this evening for party candidates...////...
