Nashik. Nov 29 (Reporter) Police raided a tomato field in Vadner Bhairav limits of Nashik district in Maharashtra and seized 215 kg of ganja plants worth Rs 13 lakh, officials said on Friday. Superintendent of Police Vikram Deshmane has ordered action on a police station-wise basis to completely eradicate the illegal business in the rural areas of the district. Accordingly, the Local Crime Branch and Vadner Bhairav police took action against a farmer who was cultivating ganja in his field. Police Inspector Raju Surve of the Local Crime Branch on Thursday received information that some people were cultivating ganja at Tapanpada in Dudhkhed Shivara in Vadner Bhairav village. Accordingly, the Local Crime Branch and Vadner Bhairav police raided a field owned by Ravindra Gangurde (40, resident of Tapanpada) in the Tapanpada area.
