Hyderabad, Apr 18 (Reporter) In a vibrant celebration of equestrian tradition, polo made a majestic return to Hyderabad with an exhibition match between the Hyderabad Polo & Riding Club and the Indian Army’s elite 61st Cavalry Regiment.
The event was held on Thursday at the historic Bison Polo Ground in Secunderabad.
Organised jointly by the Telangana & Andhra Sub Area (TASA) and the Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB), the match underscored the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to promoting polo and equestrian sports in the country.
Lieutenant General Karandeep Singh Brar, PVSM, AVSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Dakshin Bharat Area, formally inaugurated the event. His presence, along with a large gathering of dignitaries, armed forces personnel, and polo enthusiasts, lent grandeur to the occasion.
