Patna, Feb 3 (Reporter) Nearly a week after the NDA government headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was formed in Bihar, portfolios were distributed among the newly-elected ministers on Saturday. According to a Cabinet Secretariat Notification, Home, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, Election and the departments which have not be distributed will be with the Chief Minister whereas the Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has been given the responsibilities of Finance, Commercial Taxes, Urban Development, Health, Sports, Panchayati Raj, Industry, Animal husbandry resources department and Law. Similarly another Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha got Agriculture, Road Construction, Revenue and land reforms, sugarcane department, mines and geology, labour resources, art, culture and youth, minor irrigation and public health engineering department. Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been given the responsibilities of water resources, parliamentary affairs, building construction, transport, education and information and public relations department. Vijendra Yadav has been allotted with energy, planning and development, excise and registration, prohibition, rural work and minorities welfare. Dr Prem Kumar will look after cooperative, OBC and EBC welfare, disaster management, environment and climate change and tourism. Suman Kumar has been given the responsibilities of rural development, social welfare, food and consumer protection.
