Visakhapatnam, Nov 24 (Reporter) District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad convened a high-level meeting on Sunday with local public representatives and senior officials to finalize arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Visakhapatnam on November 29.
The meeting, held at the Collectorate, focused on preparations for the Prime Minister's road show, public meeting, and the inauguration of key development projects.
Public representatives, including MP M Sribharat, West MLA and Government Whip Gana Babu, Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, North MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju, and Pendurthi MLA Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, participated in discussions with officials, an official statement said.
Key topics included seating arrangements, transportation, and basic amenities such as drinking water and food for attendees. The arrangements aim to ensure a smooth and well-organized event for the public and dignitaries.
As per the tentative schedule, the Prime Minister will arrive at INS Dega by air at 1540 hours and proceed to the AU Engineering College grounds, either by road or air. A 500-meter road show from Tycoon Junction to SP Bungalow will precede the public meeting. Scheduled to begin at 1645 hours, the meeting will feature speeches and the inauguration or foundation stone laying for several key projects. The Prime Minister will return to INS Dega by 1745 hours, marking the conclusion of the event.
Collector Harendhira Prasad explained the preliminary arrangements, including accommodations for VIPs such as the Chief Minister, Governor, and Deputy Chief Ministers, and coordination for welcoming dignitaries from the Uttarandhra region. He stressed the importance of collaboration among public representatives and officials to ensure the success of the program.
Senior officials, including Police Commissioner Shankabrata Bagchi, GVMC Commissioner P Sampath Kumar, and Joint Collector K Mayur Ashok, reviewed security measures and event logistics...////...
