Nashik, Jan 12 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in the city on Friday to inaugurate the 27th National Youth Festival, visited the historic Shri Kalaram Temple and performed puja and aarti.
The Temple Trustees and Mahant felicitated the Prime Minister with a silver statue of Lord Ram, a shawl, and Shripal.
Kalaram Mandir Chief Mahant Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Sudhirdas Maharaj, Mandir Sansthan Trustees Dhananjaya Pujari, Mangesh Pujari, Naresh Pujari, Mandar Janorkar, Eknath Kulkarni, Pt. Pranav Pujari, Advaya Pujari, and dignitaries from Warkari and Sant Parivar were present.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister listened to the recital of the 8th chapter (verses) of the Abhang and Bhavartha Ramayana.
The Prime Minister interacted with the Mahant, Warkari, and descendants of the saint family present on the temple premises.
Prime Minister Modi paid floral tributes to the statue of Swami Vivekananda in the temple premises on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
Prime Minister Modi also performed the pooja and aarti of the river Godavari, known as the Ganga of the South, and resolved to make India the world guru.
