Bareilly (UP), Feb 9 (Reporter) Some miscreants indulged in brick-batting in the Shyam Ganj area of Bareilly district on Friday after a protest by the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC) Chief Maulana Tauqeer Raza over the Gyanvapi issue. Police sources said as announced earlier, Tauqeer Raza courted arrest after offering Friday namaz. "He was later released by the administration. During the demonstration the crowd raised anti-government slogans," they said. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar said some anti-social elements indulged in brick-batting after the protest ended peacefully.
