Pune, Jan 27 (Reporter) Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab Cultural Kaarva’n Virasat, one of the biggest cultural events for Hindustani art, culture, and literature, kicked off in Pune on Saturday here.
The event was inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Pt. Sajan Mishra; Suresh Kumar, Former Director General of Income Tax; Navneet Soni (Income Tax Commissioner Retd.), President, Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab; Ms. Surbhi Kulkarni, Manager Marketing & PR, NFAI; and Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan, Poet and Founder-Secretary, Sahityotsav Jashn-e-Adab.
This popular cultural program is being organized in association with the Ministry of Culture (GoI), the Ministry of Tourism, and the NFDC (National Film Development Corporation of India). Flagbearers of Hindustani art, culture, and literature, artists from various parts of the country will be participating and performing at this landmark cultural program.
The high point of the first day of the program was when Padma Bhushan, Pt. Sajan Mishra, and Pt. Swaransh Mishra mesmerized the audience with their unmatched singing.
A wonderful Marathi Kavi and Kavyatri Sammelan earned the applause of the audience, which featured accomplished poets such as Priya Jamkar (poet-actor), Vaibhav Deshmukh (poet-author-Lyricist), Dr. Swapnil Chaudhari, Rashmi Kankaria, and Sonali Rasal.
The audience was also enthralled by a panel discussion on ‘Samwad Lekhan: Kala Ya Manoranjan’ featuring actor Atul Tiwari (3 Idiots fame) and renowned author-writer (movies and OTT) Divya Parkash Dubey in conversation with Nirupama Kotru.
The auditorium was filled with applause during the Mushaira, where viral Hindustani Shayars and Kavis such as Shariq Kaifi, Madan Mohan Danish, Shamim Abbas, Quaiser Khalid IPS, Javed Mushiri, Monika Singh, Kunwar Ranjeet Chauhan, Abhishek Shukla, and Anas Faizi recited their popular creations.
The first day of this cultural program came to an end with the powerful Qawwalis by the famous Qawwal Munawwar Masoom.
