Pune Porsche case: HC rejects AB of man accused of swapping blood samples of his accused son

Mumbai, Oct 23 (Reporter) The Bombay High Court on Wednesday rejected the anticipatory bail application of a man accused of allegedly playing a role in swapping the blood samples of his accused son at Sassoon Hospital, Pune after the car accident. Applicant who is father of the minor driver’s friend, booked by Pune Police in the Porsche car accident case, has moved the court after a special court in Pune rejected his plea last month. The prosecution had claimed that blood samples were not only swapped for the 17-year-old accused but also for his two friends who were with him. This was done at the government-run Sassoon hospital to show that they were not under the influence of alcohol. Justice Manish Pitale, while rejecting the plea, in his order observed that a ‘strong prima facie’ case was made out against the applicant and the same can certainly be the basis of rejecting his pre-arrest bail plea...////...
