Hyderabad, Dec 25 (Reporter) A day after Tollywood actor Allu Arjun was questioned by the police in connection Sandhya Theatre stampede case, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' movie team on Wednesday announced a financial assistance of Rs. 2 crore to the family of the eight-year-old boy Sritej, who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital after sustaining injuries in stampede on December 4 during premier of the movie here. Film producer Allu Arvind, father of actor Allu Arjun , who played the lead character of Pushpa in the film, along with director Sukumar went to KIMS Cuddles hospital, Secunderabad, where the boy was under going treatment and enquired about his condition with his father and doctors at the hospital. Of the Rs.2 crore, Allu Arjun gave Rs.1 crore while the Pushpa-2 film makers Mythri Movies and Director Sukumar gave Rs 50 lakh each. Later interacting with the media , they said the boy was recovering and the ventilator support was also removed. The cheques for Rs.2 crore were given to Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, who was also present at the hospital. Dil Raju said the members of Telugu film industry would meet the Chief Minister A Revath Reddy on Thursday. The child suffered injuries during stampede at the theatre while his 37-year old mother Revathi, died in the tragic incident on December 4. Police registered a case and arrested Allu Arjun besdies the theatre owners, security team and theatre staff.
