Bhubaneswar, Feb 6 (Reporter) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday received a rousing reception from the top congress leaders and supporters of Odisha when he reached the state from Jharkhand as part of his outreach campaign Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra (BJNY).
Rahul addressed the gathering near Pattalkanah, two kilometers away from Birmitrapur in Sundargarh district bordering Jharkhand.
The meeting lasted barely 25 minutes. Rahul told the assembled crowd that he was feeling delighted to be in Odisha and looking forward to listening from the people during his tour of the state.
“I am here to stay for three days in Odisha and listen to the people of the state for which I have kept time”, he said
During his visit to Odisha, Rahul said he would walk for seven to eight hours.
He thanked the people of Odisha and said, “In the bazaar of hatred, you have opened the shop of love.”
Rahul said during his Bharat Jodo yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir (September, 2022-January, 2023) several people from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha met him with a request to visit their state to fight against the injustice meted out to tribals, farmers, Dalits, and women.
He said the Bharat Jodo Yatra was against hatred and to unite the country. but the Bharat Jodo Nyaya yatra which he decided to start from Manipur, is against injustice in society. The BJNY is slated to end in Mumbai, Maharashtra. on March 20.
Rahul will stay at Rambahal, near Birmitrapur on Tuesday night. He will enter Rourkela on Wednesday and hold a road show near Panposh Chowk after a road show from Uditnagar...////...
