Patna, Jan 18 (Reporter) Leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday met agitating BPSC aspirants and extended his support to their demands for re-examination.
Gandhi, also former Congress president, met BPSC aspirants sitting on dharna in Gardanibagh locality of Patna, and extended his support to their demands including re-conducting the preliminary test earlier held on December 13. He patiently heard the grievances of aspirants and expressed his concern over failure of Nitish Kumar government in addressing the issues raised by them.
President of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) Akhilesh Prasad Singh had also met BPSC aspirants earlier and extended support of his party to them. Congress legislators had taken out protest march on streets of Patna expressing their solidarity to them. A delegation of legislators of Congress and other opposition parties had also submitted memorandum to Governor seeking his intervention for acceptance of demands of BPSC aspirants.
As it is, BPSC aspirants are sitting on dharna since long in support of their demands for re-conducting preliminary test earlier held on December 13 as it was allegedly marred by a series of irregularities including paper leak. Other opposition parties including RJD and CPI(ML) had extended their support to BPSC aspirants. Independent MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor had also extended their support to them...////...
