Bengaluru, Jan 27 (Reporter) Karnataka BJP Incharge Bhupender Yadav on Saturday appealed to party workers to go before the people and raise the fake guarantees promised by the Congress to gain power in the runup to Lok Sabha elections this year. "The Congress is getting routed in the country, and by mistake, it came to power in Karnataka. We should resolve to weed out the Congress from the state and carry forward BJP's works and programs," he said addressing Karnataka BJP's Special Executive meeting here. Yadav also alleged that the Congress had played minority appeasement and divided the country based on religion. "The Congress has divided the country into minority and majority vote banks, and completely dodged development," he said. Speaking at the occasion, Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa said that the Lok Sabha elections will be declared anytime in April and the party should work relentlessly to win 28 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Former CM BS Yediyurappa said the Congress party, which came to power on fake guarantees, is enmeshed in internecine squabbles, and this has affected governance and encouraged rampant corruption. Giving a clarion call to party workers, Yediyurappa alleged that the people of the state are cursing the Congress rule as it is unable to wipe the tears of the farmers reeling under drought.
