Bengaluru, Apr 12 (Reporter) Karnataka BJP on Friday accused the Siddaramaiah-led state government of being soft on terrorism and alleged that the arrested terrorists by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are "brothers" of the Congress.
"The NIA detains 'Brothers' of Congress in Rameshwaram Cafe Blast case. Ever since Jihadi Tipu Sultan’s admirers came to power in Karnataka, terrorists have got a free ride.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s 'Ease of Doing Terror' Policies have prompted ISIS to now set up its shop in Karnataka. The only guarantee that CM Siddaramaiah has fulfilled is converting prosperous Karnataka into a terror hub," BJP posted on X.
Earlier, Karnataka BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa accused Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar of potentially being included in a "list of anti-nationals" based on his remarks about probing the business rivalry angle.
Vijayendra termed Shivakumar's statement about the accused in the Mangaluru cooker blast as part of "my brother policy", suggesting leniency of the Congress government in Karnataka towards individuals involved in terrorist activities.
Leader of Opposition R Ashoka asserted that terrorists get "emboldened" whenever Siddaramaiah comes to power.
Earlier, Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha were arrested by the NIA from a hideout in Kolkata in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case.
Shazib is said to have allegedly placed the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at the cafe and Taha was the mastermind behind the planning and execution of the blast.
Taha is accused of indulging in a potentially broader network of terrorist activity as he is wanted by investigating agencies in other cases...////...
