Ravi Shankar, Kushwaha file nomination papers for Lok Sabha elections

Patna, May 10 (Reporter) Former Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad and Upendra Kushwaha on Friday filed their nomination papers for the Lok Sabha elections. Prasad, a senior BJP leader and sitting party MP from Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, filed his nomination paper for ongoing general elections. A large number of BJP leaders and workers accompanied Prasad for filing his nomination papers. BJP leader while talking to media persons after filing his nomination paper, said that it was a great honour for him that former Governor Ganga Prasad and former Union Minister Dr. C P Thakur were his proposers. As he had been serving the people earlier, he would continue to serve them if re-elected from Patna Sahib, he added. Rastriya Lok Morcha (RLM) President Upendra Kushwaha also filed his nomination paper from the Karakat Lok Sabha seat. After filling out his nomination paper, he told media persons that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had done wonderful work for Bihar. Due to good works done by them, people would support him in ongoing Lok Sabha elections, he noted. " There is no effect on people and they are with NDA ", Kushwaha said while responding to the impact of Bhojpuri film star Pawan Singh contesting as Independent from Karakat seat. It was for the BJP to take action against Singh as he was a member of that party and contesting against NDA candidate, he further said adding that his party RLM was constituent of BJP led NDA...////...
