Reddy agrees to discuss Kaleswaram project and Godavari water in Assembly

Hyderabad, Feb 14 (Reporter) Telangana Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, told the Assembly on Wednesday that the state government is ready to engage in discussions regarding the Kaleswaram Project and issues related to Godavari water. Participating in the discussion on the Vote on Account budget, Revant Reddy said it is currently unfeasible to fill water in the Medigadda barrage due to the presence of sunk piers. He expressed his displeasure over the remarks made by former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) during the Nalgonda meeting held on Tuesday. Revanth Reddy addressed concerns raised by BRS leaders about Medigadda's responsibility under the newly formed Congress Government. When opposition members objected to Revanth Reddy's language, he emphasized the government's readiness to discuss language-related issues. Revanth Reddy criticized KCR, who, despite serving as a Central Minister, MP, and CM, used inappropriate language against him during the Nalgonda meeting held on Tuesday. The Chief Minister questioned how KCR could resort to such language after being defeated in the election, and urged KCR to come to the Assembly and discuss the matter instead of making statements elsewhere. Revanth Reddy offered to hand over the management of the Kaleswaram Project to KCR and Harish Rao, provided they take responsibility for filling water in Medigadda and pumping it to Sundilla. He called on the opposition leader KCR to attend the assembly, stating the government's readiness to discuss the Medigadda issue the following evening. Expressing frustration, Revanth Reddy demanded that KCR come to the house and discuss the Kaleswaram Project instead of addressing the issue elsewhere.
