Rs 4,40,595 cr investment proposals on concluding day of BGBS : Mamata

Kolkata, Feb 6 (Reporter) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that about Rs 4,40,595 crore investment proposals came from the attending delegates and investors, who participated on the second and the concluding day of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) here on Thursday. Addressing the concluding day of the BGBS flagship summit of the Government of West Bengal, Banerjee said, " I am not mentioning the amount the investments which were announced among others like Mukesh Ambani and Sajjan Jindal which may surpassed over Rs 1 lakh crore, I will take only of the day where the SMSE participants, B2B and B2G," took part. She said in the past 7 seven such summits the Bengal had received over Rs 19 lakh crore proposals, of them Rs 13 lakh crore were already taken up and another Rs 6 lakh crore proposals were in process. Mamata said on the 2nd day, Bengal received Rs 4,40,595 crore investment proposals and thanked the 20 partnered countries and another 20 countries representatives, ambassadors and high commissioners and all the participants. The Chief Minister also said that the state government has offered 15 acres of land to the ONGC for Rs 1 for exploration of oil at Asoke Nagar in North 24 Parganas. She also announced that the work has started at Duecha Pachami in Birbhum district today for coal mining. Deucha Pachamai rated as the 2nd largest coal deposits, which may last over 100 years once the mining of coal begins. The BGBS has successfully completed 7 editions starting from 2015, drawing in a large number of national and international participation, business opportunities, exchange of commerce and culture during the past editions, making the Summit grow in scale as well as in strength with every edition...////...
