Patna, Jan 18 (Reporter) Leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat had no faith in constitution as his intention became clear after his recent statement that India did not get independence on August 15, 1947.
Gandhi, also former Congress president, while addressing party workers at Sadaquat Ashram, the state headquarters of the party here, said Bhagwat had recently expressed his views that India did not get independence on August 15, 1947 but in 2024 when Ram temple was constructed at Ayodhya.
According to RSS Chief, India was not an Independent nation even after August 15, 1947, so where was the question of his faith in constitution as it came into existence when nation was not independent according to him, he pointed out.
"Congress workers should get prepared to fight the ideology of BJP and RSS having no faith in constitution", the Congress leader said, adding that only Congress could take on BJP.
He appreciated the party workers for fighting without fears, the challenges posed by BJP and RSS who disregarded constitution and its provisions.
"Assembly election is to be held in Bihar this year and all constituents of INDIA bloc in the state should fight to oust NDA government ", Rahul said and added that Bihar was the place where fight for change of the regime had always begun. Effecting a change was in DNA of people of Bihar, he remarked.
The LoP in the Lok Sabha said that Bihar had been made factory of labourers by the NDA regime. Youths of Bihar were not getting jobs and no one in the government had concern for them, he lamented.
Gandhi said that Bihar had become the centre of paper leak in the country. Rights of youths were being ignored, Gandhi added.
The former Congress President came down heavily on Narendra Modi government for its pro corporate policies and ignoring the interests of poor and working class.
Entire wealth of the country was being handed over to 20 to 25 billionaires, he alleged.
Rahul alleged that the recently held assembly election in Maharashtra were rigged by state government machineries in connivance with the Election Commission.
One crore more electorate had exercised their franchise in the assembly election than those who cast their votes in 2024 Lok Sabha election, he pointed out and added that Election Commission had not provided voters lists used in both the elections, despite being demanded by him and his party...////...
