Mandya, Sep 12 (Reporter) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah vowed to take ruthless action against those attempting to disrupt communal harmony in the state, following the stone-pelting incident during the Ganesha idol immersion procession in Nagamangala in Mandya district on Wednesday night.. Taking to X on Thursday, Siddaramaiah stated, "In the past one and a half years, without any riots or violence, the state has been like a garden of peace for all communities. We will take ruthless action against those attempting to sow division on religious grounds, regardless of caste or religion." He condemned the stone-pelting incident as an act by miscreants aimed at disturbing peace and tranquility. "The stone pelting that took place in Nagamangala is clearly the work of miscreants. The government has taken this very seriously. More than 50 people have already been arrested, and our first priority is to maintain peace and order," the CM said. Siddaramaiah called on the public to cooperate with the authorities by maintaining peace and not succumbing to provocation. "I request the public to cooperate with us by maintaining peace and restraint without succumbing to incitement," he urged.
