Sensex at new high, opens at 77,102.05 points

Mumbai, June 13 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex Thursday touched 77,102.05 -- an all-time high -- after climbing 496 points at opening on positive global cues. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 53.40 points at 23,376.36. The equity market was on rise following gains in Realty, Technology and IT stocks amid positive global cues as markets were buoyed by favourable US inflation report expecting rate cut in America. The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 77,145.46 and 76,719.70 points, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 23,481.05 and 23,253.90 points, respectively. The Mid cap rose 0.52 per cent and Small Cap by 0.41 per cent. In 30 scrips, 18 advanced while 12 declined. The gainers were Tech Mahindra by 1.59 per cent to Rs 1,392.10; L&T by 1.53 per cent to Rs 3,684.90; TCS by 1.18 per cent to Rs 3,877.15; Wipro by 1.09 per cent to Rs 482.10 and Titan by 1.08 per cent to Rs 3,417.45. The losers were Hind Unilever by 1.04 per cent to Rs 2,502.60, Powergrid by 0.79 per cent to Rs 322.05, JSW Steel by 0.66 per cent to Rs 910.70...////...
