Sensex falls over 200 points

Mumbai, June 14 (Reporter) Registering an all-time high on Thursday, the BSE Sensex on Friday slipped 271 points to 76549.10 in opening trade-on-profit booking by local operators. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 14.40 points at 23384.50. Stocks like Technology, BSE Services, and Auto put a break to the equity market on Friday. The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 77001.70 and 76549.19 points, respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 23469.45 and 23334.25 points, respectively. The mid cap rose by 0.62 pc and the small cap by 0.83 pc. In 30 scrips, 7 advanced while 23 declined. The losers were Tech Mahindra by 1.09 pc to Rs 1375, HCL Technology by 1 pc to Rs 1429.75, TCS by 0.84 pc to Rs 3845, Wipro by 0.81 pc to Rs 478.50, and Kotak Bank by 0.72 pc to Rs 1714. The gainers were M&M by 0.56 pc to Rs 2880, Titan by 0.53 pc to Rs 3490.10, Ultrasemco by 0.41 pc to Rs 11228.45, and Asian Paints by 0.22 pc to Rs 2414.20...////...
