Mumbai, Jan 9 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Tuesday smartly recovered 272.24 points at 71,627.46 in the opening session as buying was seen across the board. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 114.50 points to 21,627.50. The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 71,871.82 and 71,622.11 points, respectively. The Nifty recorded intraday highs and lows at 21,673.65 and 21,594.45 points, respectively. The Mid Cap rose by 0.27 pc and the Small Cap by 0.68 pc. In 30 scrips, 25 advanced while 5 declined. The gainers were HCL Technologies by 1.81 pc to Rs 1473.60, Tech Mahindra by 1.45 pc to Rs 1244.90, Wipro by 1.53 pc to Rs 456.70, and TCS by 1.44 pc to Rs 3730.80. The losers were Maruti Suzuki by 0.37 pc to Rs 9910, Nestle India Ltd by 0.37 pc to Rs 2609.45, Asian Paints by 0.30 pc to Rs 3286.55, and Hind Unilever by 0.20 pc to Rs 2573.65...////...
