Mumbai, Feb 16 (Reporter) Extending its rally for the fourth straight session on Friday, the BSE Sensex advanced 376.26 points to 72,426.64 on strong global cues. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 129.95 points to 22,040.70. The NSE registered days high and low at 22,068.65 and 21,968.95 pts, respectively. The Sensex opened on a strong note at 72,406.02, rising 356 During the day, it surged 496 points at 72,545.3e days high before closing at 72426.64, advancing 376.26 points from its previous close. The Mid Cap rose by 0.78 pc and the Small Cap by 0.68 pc. In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined. The gainers were Wipro by 4.58 pc to Rs 542, M&M by 4.16 pc to Rs 1838.95, L&T by 2.38 pc to Rs 3379 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.93 pc to Rs 11,301.40. The losers were Powergrid by 2.50 pc to Rs 274.45, NTPC by 0.71 pc to Rs 337.25, SBI by 0.60 pc to Rs 757 and Reliance Industries by 0.51 pc to Rs 2927. The Asian market was seen as positive.
