Mumbai, Aug 19 (Reporter) The BSE Sensex on Monday opened on a strong note, advancing 244 pts at 80,680.25 on the strength of Energy, Utilities and Oil and Gas stocks amid strong global cues. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 94 pts at 24,636.55. The BSE registered intra days high and low at 80,724.40 and 80,384.79 pts respectively. The NSE registered days high and low at 24,638.80 and 24,541.61 pts respectively. The Mid Cap gained 0.44 pc and Small Cap by 1.04 pc. In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 11 declined. The gainers were NTPC by 1.07 pc to Rs 402.40, Reliance industries by 0.95 pc to Rs 2984.15, Powergrid by 0.89 pc to Rs 341.80 and Tata Steel by 0.80 pc to Rs 150.75. The losers were M & M by 1.81 pc to Rs 2789.15, Bharti Airtel by 1.07 pc to Rs 1468.60, Tata Motors by 0.99 pc to Rs 1087.80 and Axis Bank by 0.78 pc to Rs 1158...////...
