Mumbai, Nov 1 (Reporter) Chief Minister Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena Candidate and former BJP leader Shaina NC, who switched to Shiv Sena ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Election, and contesting the polls from Mumbadevi constituency on Friday lodged a complain against Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant for his alleged objectionable remarks against her and labelling her as “imported maal". A complaint was lodged at Nagpada police station but no action was initiated so far. During a media interaction during the poll campaign a couple of days ago, Sawant while referring Shaina Nana Chudasama, a fashionist and popular as Shaina NC said that She stayed all her life in the BJP and now look at her… Humare yahan imported maal nahi chalta (Imported material does not work here). Only original ‘maal‘ works here. We have the original material (pointing towards the candidate)," he said. Later Sawant had claimed that he had very close personal equations with Shaina NC and she may have misunderstood his (‘maal’) comment. “It also refers to as goods, but she could have misinterpreted it… I had no such intentions,” said Sawant in an apparent clarification.
