Shinde partially inaugurates Mumbai Coastal Road

Mumbai, Mar 11 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday partially inaugurated the Mumbai Coastal Road Project (South) Worli to Marine Drive South Channel. Speaking on occasion, he said that the coastal road, which is a miracle of engineering, is a useful project in this regard. He also said that an international standard central park will be built for the young and old in 300 acres of Priyadarshini Park and Race Course, and it will become an oxygen park for Mumbaikars, he opined. The Chief Minister said that the state government is rapidly completing projects that will benefit the common man. Safety has been fully taken care of in this (Coastal Road) project which will save time and fuel and help in making Mumbai pollution free, he asserted. This road will be further extended to Dahisar and Palghar in a phased manner, he informed. Shinde expressed that in the future, with the Atal Setu, Kinari Marg (Coastal Road) and other projects that will be a game changer, it will be possible to reach anywhere in Mumbai within an hour. The distance between the pillars of these roads has been increased to 120 metres to fulfil demand of the Kolis (fisher folk), he informed. He mentioned that an amount of Rs 500 crore has been allocated through the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation for development of the Siddhivinayak Temple area like the Mahakal Temple of Ujjain. A statue of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will be erected at a suitable place near this project, he added. Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar also spoke on occasion...////...
