Mumbai, Aug 4 ( UNI) Following India Meteorological Department (IMD) warning of heavy rains in Pune, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given instructions to district collector to remain on high alert and shift people from flood-risk areas, an official said on Sunday.
If required help of disaster response force and Army should be taken, said Chief Minister, giving instructions to the Pune Municipal Commissioner and Pune Collector over telephone.
He said all arrangements should be made for shelter, food and medicines if people are relocated, the official said.
Meanwhile, water discharge has been started from Khadakwasla, Mulshi, Pavana dams in Pune area. T
Ektanagar, Dattawadi, Patil Estate, Yerwada area, Shivaji Nagar Court area, Kamgar Putala, Harris Bridge, Dapodi, Juni Sangvi, Kasarwadi, Pimpri Camp, Rawet, Balewadi Gavthan, and Jupiter Hospital area in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad area may be affected due to this spill, said the Chief Minister...////...
