Sangli, Aug 22 (Reporter) A scuffle broke out between two rival groups of Shiv Sena over alleged smearing of black ink on a poster of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his two deputies -- Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar -- at State Transport bus stand in Miraj town of the district on Thursday over deployment of buses for the Chief Minister's function in Kolhapur.
Irate Shiv Sena (UBT) office-bearers and workers, led by Chandrakant Maingure, came to Miraj ST bus stand and allegedly smeared black ink on the poster having pictures of CM Shinde and his two deputies to express their protest for causing inconvenience to ST passengers following deployment of 20 ST buses to ferry women from Miraj to Kolhapur to attend CM Shinde's function in Kolhapur today.
After being informed about the same, Shiv Sena (Shinde) group workers rushed to the spot and wiped off the black ink from the poster, but the Sena (UBT) workers tried to stop them, leading to a scuffle between two rival groups.
Later, Sena (Shinde) workers staged an agitation before Miraj city police station demanding to register a complaint against Sena (UBT) workers, who were later detained for inquiry, police said...////...
