Ratnagiri, Feb 5 (Reporter) Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray on Monday took a jibe at the BJP-led central government saying that if allegations levelled by BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde were true, then why did not any central probe agency swing into action for inquiry. Addressing a public rally in Rajapur town of the district this afternoon as part of 'Jansavad' campaign launched in the run-up to upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he said that Gaikwad, who allegedly fired on ally Shiv Sena (Shinde) leader Mahesh Gaikwad last week, has made serious allegations against Shinde saying that Shinde had not only betrayed undivided the Shiv Sena and his leader Thackeray but also was trying to betray BJP. Furthermore, Gaikwad also alleged that Shinde has yet to make pending payment of crores of rupees to him and demanded that he should give his resignation as chief minister. "If these allegations were true, then why should not investigation agencies take action on Shinde, he said and asked people to consider of these allegations while voting in coming elections. Thackeray said that if Prime Minister Narendra Modi can send investigation officers to the houses of former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, then why not similar action be taken against Shinde, he demanded.
