Mumbai, Feb 7 (Reporter) On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's birth anniversary, the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar Group) organised 'Swarajya Week' from February 12 to 19 across the state.
The event, to be inaugurated by National President Deputy Chief Minister Ajitdada Pawar at Gateway of India Mumbai on February 12, will conclude at Pachad at Raigad Fort.
In his press statement issued on Wednesday he stated that, the main mantra of the National Congress Party (NCP) is the promotion of Maharashtra's identity and self-respect.
The party has implemented Shiv thought programs for office bearers, workers, and frontal cells, organized at district, taluka, and state levels.
The 'Swarajya Jyot' and 'Swarajya Pataka' will visit a historic site sanctified by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, inspired by Shiva's time and history.
The villages will be adorned with lights and flags, and educational programs will be conducted based on the character of Shiva.
On the occasion of 'Swarajya Week', the NCP is preparing to instill respect and self-respect for Shivprerna and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj among the youth, young women, students, and officials during 'Swarajya Week'.
Shiva's biography, Shiva's culture and Shiva's manly games will be commemorated on February 19 at Pachad at the foothills of Raigad on the occasion of Shiva Jayanti.
During this week, 'Rayate Melave' has also been organised at the historical buildings and forts that have been sanctified by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
'Apart from this, various programs have also been planned on fort conservation, cleanliness, environment protection, and respect for women, and a 'Swarajya oath' will be taken at the program,' said Sunil Tatkare.
