Nelamangala, Sep 29 (Reporter) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on unday dismissed Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy's allegations against M Chandrashekhar, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of the Lokayukta’s Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Kumaraswamy had alleged that Chandrashekhar received a letter from the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), insinuating a link between the Lokayukta officer and the ruling party.
Addressing reporters in Nelamangala, Shivakumar questioned the veracity of the claims. "What is the connection between the KPCC office and Lokayukta ADGP Chandrashekhar? Kumaraswamy doesn’t know what he’s talking about," he said.
In response to Kumaraswamy’s assertions that he holds documents detailing alleged corruption by seven Congress ministers, Shivakumar challenged him to release the purported evidence. "I have neither seen nor met Chandrashekhar. I don’t understand what he’s referring to," the Deputy CM remarked.
Kumaraswamy, during a press conference on Saturday, launched a scathing attack on the Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka government, accusing it of engaging in corrupt practices, including in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam.
