Bengaluru, Dec 4 (Reporter) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday raised strong objections to recent actions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), accusing the agency of attempting to influence the judiciary and undermining the integrity of its investigation.
Siddaramaiah, whose MUDA case is due to be heard in the High Court tomorrow, criticised the ED for writing to the Lokayukta just a day before the petition’s hearing.

He also criticised the timing of the disclosure, stating, "Publicising this just before the hearing reflects a deliberate attempt to create prejudice and influence the judiciary’s perspective".

Shivakumar suggested the leak was a sign of the ED's desperation and lack of evidence. He pointed to his own case, where the court ruled in his favour after a charge sheet was filed and no evidence of wrongdoing was found during raids.
Shivakumar vowed to continue fighting the case in court, expressing faith in the legal system despite the challenges posed by such actions. Both leaders’ statements come amid growing tensions between state politicians and the central investigating agencies, with accusations of political bias intensifying...////...
