Bengaluru, Aug 26 (Reporter) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday denied accusations that a minor correction in a land request application by his wife was an attempt to cover up wrongdoing.
Taking to social media platform X, Siddaramaiah dismissed the allegations as baseless and exaggerated, asserting that the correction involved only "four or five words" and was a procedural adjustment to secure replacement land for their family property acquired by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
"The letters behind the whitener are clearly visible in the video," Siddaramaiah remarked. "Take off your hate glasses and look properly."
He clarified that his wife’s request was for land either in Devanur 3rd Stage, which had been acquired and developed by MUDA, or in a parallel area developed subsequently. The application had been adjusted due to the unavailability of plots in the initially requested location, seeking a plot in the alternate settlement instead.
Siddaramaiah stressed that the correction was insignificant, with no accompanying note, order, or directive involved.
Siddaramaiah condemned the BJP-JDS leaders for their accusations, accusing them of spreading "imaginary fabrications" and misrepresenting the issue to portray his family as criminals. He likened their reaction to "cutting off their noses in a hurry and standing in front of the mirror all night crying."
He concluded his post with a defiant note, expressing confidence that the truth would ultimately prevail.
"As is the truth, realization may take some time, but the ultimate victory will be the truth," Siddaramaiah asserted...////...
