Bengaluru, Sep 2 (Reporter) Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) to reconduct the Gazetted Probationers’ examination within two months following reports of inappropriate Kannada translation of questions.
The decision comes in response to numerous complaints from candidates about discrepancies in the Kannada version of the examination, which raised concerns about fairness and transparency.
Taking swift action, Siddaramaiah, on Monday, announced on social media that those responsible for the translation lapses have been relieved of their duties. "The upcoming examination will be conducted with the utmost responsibility and accountability, following all due diligence," he said, emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.
The Chief Minister’s directive aims to restore confidence among aspirants who felt disadvantaged due to the errors in translation. The KPSC has been instructed to make all necessary arrangements to ensure that the re-examination is conducted without any issues, maintaining the integrity of the recruitment process.
