Bengaluru, Sep 13 (Reporter) Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday praised the Supreme Court’s recent decision to grant bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, describing it as a reaffirmation of faith in the judiciary.
The court’s order, which led to Kejriwal’s release from jail n the Delhi Excise Policy case,, was hailed by Siddaramaiah as a significant victory for truth and justice.
"The Supreme Court order granting bail to the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and releasing him from jail has further confirmed our faith in the country’s judiciary. This order gives hope to all those fighting for truth and justice," Siddaramaiah said in a post on X.
He further criticised the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing the central government of "misusing" constitutional institutions for political vendetta. “This order of the Supreme Court is a rebuke to the central BJP government, which is misusing the constitutional institutions for their political nemesis. Let the Narendra Modi-led government, which has descended into politics of hatred, learn a lesson from this court order and wake up,” Siddaramaiah added.
Concluding his statement, Siddaramaiah expressed optimism about the triumph of truth and justice. “Ultimately, truth will prevail, justice will prevail. Satyameva Jayate,” he said, emphasising the enduring power of righteousness in the face of adversity...////...
