Sikkim, April 19 (Reporter) Voting for lone Lok Sabha and 32 assembly seats in Sikkim completed peacefully on Friday. As per the Election Commission, till 5 p.m. 68.06 per cent of 4.64 lakh electorate exercised their franchise. Voting started at 7 a.m. in Sikkim alongside 20 other states and UTs, and till 3 pm the tiny Himalayan state recorded 52.73 per cent voting, as per the poll body. Fourteen candidates are in the fray for the lone Lok Sabha seat from the state. Sitting MP Indra Hang Subba seeking a reelection is among the main contenders besides former MP PD Rai, Gopal Chhetri of Congress, BJP's DC Nepal and Bharat Basnet (CAP-Sikkim). Apart from the two national-level political parties, rest are regional entities. A total of eight political parties are contesting on 32 assembly seats and the fate of 146 candidates is to be decided. Chief Minister and SKM supremo Prem Singh Tamang, former CM and SDF chief Pawan Kumar Chamling besides former Indian football star Bhaichung Bhutia are in the fray...////...
