Mahabubabad (Telangana), April 10 (Reporter) Telangana Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women, and Child Welfare Minister, Danasari Anasuya Sitakka, undertook a visit to Manuguru in the Mahabubabad Parliamentary constituency. Addressing the gathering, Minister Sitakka lauded the Congress party's efforts in implementing numerous welfare schemes for the upliftment of the poor under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi. She highlighted initiatives such as the Right to Education Act aimed at providing education to all and the employment guarantee scheme designed to offer job opportunities to the underprivileged. Sitakka emphasised the significance of legislative measures like the Food Security Act and the Right to Information Act, which were introduced for the welfare of the people. She commended Rahul Gandhi's dedication to walking alongside the people for the country's development and the betterment of the poor, urging the electorate to consider giving him a chance as Prime Minister. Recalling the welfare endeavours of Balaram Nayak in the Mahabubabad Parliamentary constituency, Sitakka underscored the impact of past initiatives in uplifting the underprivileged sections of society. In a critical assessment of the current administration, Sitakka criticized the BJP for allegedly exacerbating the plight of the poor since coming to power. She accused the government of imposing burdens on the poor through policies like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and failing to provide adequate welfare schemes. Furthermore, she condemned the alleged exploitation of caste and religious sentiments to divert the attention of the youth from pressing issues like unemployment.
