Six devotees killed in a road accident near Bagdogra Airport in Darjeeling district

Siliguri, Aug 12 (Reporter) Six devotees were killed after a vehicle ran over them near the Muni tea estate, close to Bagdogra Airport in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, police said on Monday. All the six died on the spot, an eyewitness told the police. Sources said the dead included two siblings. Assistant Commissioner of Police Debashish Bose said the mishap happened early on Monday when a four-wheeler from Deogarh in Jharkhand ran over a group of pilgrims on the Highway under the Phansidewa block. The victims were on 'Kanwar yatra' on the last Monday of the holy Shrawan month to offer water at the 'Janglibaba' temple when the incident occurred...////...
