Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), June 17 (Reporter) Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Northwest Bay of Bengal, some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal and some parts of Bihar during next four days, Meteorological Centre said on Monday. In a daily weather report here, it said that an east-west trough runs from Goa to south Coastal Andhra Pradesh at 3.1 km above mean sea level. The cyclonic circulation over Southwest & adjoining West central Bay of Bengal between 3.1 km & 7.6 km above mean sea level has become less marked. Under its influence, heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next three days and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 40- 50kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places or at many places or at one or two places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next one week. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 48 hours. Heavy rainfall occurred at Palakonda (Parvathipuram Manyam Dist), Palakonda (Parvathipuram Manyam Dist) in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and at one or two places over Rayalaseema during the same period.
