Amaravati, May 28 (Reporter) Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of the South Arabian Sea and Maldives area on Tuesday, the Meteorological Centre said.
In a daily weather report here, it said that the conditions continue to become favourable for Monsoon onset over Kerala during the next 3-4 days.
The conditions also continue to become favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of the South Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Maldives and Comorin area; some parts of Lakshadweep area, Kerala; some more parts of Southwest & Central Bay of Bengal, Northeast Bay of Bengal and some parts of Northeastern states during the same period.
Strong winds with a speed of 30-40 Kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days.
Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Rayalaseema from May 31 to June 3 and in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh from June 1-3.
Dry weather is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next four days and in Rayalaseema during the next three days.
The maximum temperature is likely to rise gradually by 2-4 degrees Celsius in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema during the next four days.
Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bapatla in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, the report added...////...
