Mumbai,May 19 (Reporter) All preparation have been completed for Monday's polling in the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies in the fifth and final phase of Lok Sabha election in the state on Monday.
Polling will be held under Mumbai ,Mumbai Suburban ,Thane and Palghar district and parts of North Maharashtra .
These constituencies are Mumbai South,Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central ,Mumbai South Central , Thane, Bhiwandi,Kalyan ,Palghar ,Nashik ,Dindori (ST) and Dhule.
Over 2.46 crore eligible registered voters which includes male, female and transgenders will decide the fate of total 264 candidates contesting election in this third phase.
The ECI has set up 24,579 polling stations equipped with 41,897 ballot units, 24,579 control units, and 24,579 VVPAT machines for the election.
Though there are several small parties but the election would be fought between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi everywhere.
The elections in six Lok Sabha constituencies which fall under Mumbai and Mumbai suburban district seem a tough fight between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Agadhi.
In Mumbai North constituency Union Minister and BJP candidate Piyush Goel contesting election verses Congress nominee Bhushan Patil.
In Mumbai South constituency Sitting UBT MP Arvind Sawant is facing election against Yamini Yashwant Jadhav of Shinde Sena.
Ravindra Vaikar (Shinde Sena) pitted against Amol Kirtikar of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) in Mumbai North West constituency.
In Mumbai North East BJP's new face Mihir Kotecha facing election against UBT's Sanjay Dina Patil .
Eminent Advocate Ujjwal Nikam of BJP facing election against Congress nominee and former state Minister Varsha Gaikwad in Mumbai North Central constituency where AIMIM Ramzan Ali Chaudhary also in poll arena.
While senior leader of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) Anil Desai is contesting election against Shinde Sena's sitting MP Rahul Shewale in Mumbai South Central constituency .
In Thane constituency Naresh Mhaske close aide of chief minister Eknath Shinde contesting election against sitting UBT's MP Rajan Vichare .
Dr Srikanth Shinde sitting MP and son of Chief Minister Shinde contesting election again from Kalyan Lok sabha constituency against UBT's low profile candidate Vaishali Darekar Rane .
Union Minister and Sitting MP Kapil Patil contesting election again from Bhiwandi Lok Sabha constituency against NCP -Sharad Pawar Group nominee Suresh Mhatre .
In Phalghar constituency, BJP has given chance to Dr Hemant Vishnu Savra who is facing UBT's Bharthi Kamdi and Hitendra Thakur led Bahujan Vikas Agadhi's nominee Rajesh Patil.
In Nashik constituency sitting Shinde Sena MP Hemant Godse re-contesting election against UBT's Rajabhau Waje.
Union Health Minister Dr Bharathi Pawar of BJP contesting election once again from Dindori (ST) constituency against NCP-Sharad Pawar nominee Bhaskar Bhagre.
While in Dhule former Union Minister and sitting BJP MP Dr Subhash Bhamre fighting against former state minister and Congress nominee Shobha Bachav.
Prime minister Narendra Modi ,Union minister Nitin Gadkari, NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal,Jayant Patil, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav ,Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde , MPCC President Nana Patole ,Dy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis , Ajit Pawar ,UBT Chief Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray ,VBA Chief Prakash Ambedkar among several state and local leaders addressed elections rallies despite soaring heat .
Open election campaigning ended on Saturday evening .Now all the party leaders and workers canvassing voters as a last efforts to garner support in favour of their respective candidates .
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in these constituencies to ensure smooth conduct of
the elections.
So far, campaigning has been peaceful and no untoward incident reported from anywhere, police sources said.
Polling on 35 seats out of 48 seats has already been completed in four phases on April 19, April 26 ,May 7 and May 13 which recorded average polling between 60-65 percent...////...
