Stalin launches Sify's AI-ready Data Centre campus

Chennai, Apr 17 (Reporter) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday inaugurated Sify’s Data Center campus at Siruseri set up with an investment of Rs 1,882 crore offering jobs to 1,000 people. This is South India’s largest AI-ready data center campus set up at SIPCOT IT Park, at Siruseri, Egattur in neighbouring Chengalpattu district. It is also India's largest AI-ready, IGBC Platinum rated Green Data Center campus in South Chennai Chennai 02 Siruseri. An official release said Sify Technologies has planned to scale up its investments up to Rs 13,000 crore by 2027. It said the MoU for this Data centre was signed during the Global Investors Meet held in Chennai in January 2024. The release said Tamil Nadu has emerged as the second largest economy in the country and was the leading state in manufacturing and exports. It said the 2024-25 Economic Survey has lauded the state in attracting large scale investments and generating jobs, especially for women. Stating that Tamil Nadu has reached new heights in Economic growth of 9.69 per cent in 2024-25, it said it was the highest growth achieved by the state during the last ten years. With a view to attaining the goal of making TN a USD One Trillion Dollar economy by 2030, the State has recorded impressive investment and employment generation from 2021-2025, by inking 895 MoUs, committing investments to the tune of Rs 10,14,368 crore and creating 32,04,895 jobs...////...
