Chennai, Jan 12 (Reporter) A day after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's jibe at Governor R N Ravi on the National Anthem row terming it as "absurd' and "childish", Raj Bhavan on Sunday evening reacted strongly saying such arrogance is not good. It also 'sarcastically' thanked Mr Stalin for his remarks for the Governor insisting on due respect to the National Anthem as enshrined in the Constitution and said such arrogance was not good. Noting that Bharat is the supreme Mother and the Constitution the supreme faith of her children, it said they will not like or tolerate such brazen insult. In a post on X, the Raj Bhavan said "Thiru @mkstalin asserts that insisting on due respect to the National Anthem and doing fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution is “absurd” and “childish”. "Thanks for betraying the true intentions of the coalition of interests and ideologies to which he is a leader that does not accept and respect Bharat as a nation and Her Constitution", it said. "Such arrogance is not good", it added. "Please do not forget that Bharat is the supreme Mother and the Constitution the supreme faith for her children. It may be recalled that the Governor boycotted the Tamil Nadu Assembly first day proceedings of the first session in 2025 on January six and left the House without delivering the customary New Year address after he insisted that National Anthem should be played. Later, the Speaker and the Chief Minister clarified that long followed and established convention was that Tamizh Thaai Vaazhthu (invocation song to Goddess Mother Tamil) would be recited/played first and the National Anthem at the end of the Governor's address.
