Mumbai, Jan 21 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said a complete cleanliness campaign is being carried out continuously in Mumbai metropolis and under this campaign many temples in Kurla area were cleaned. A large number of local citizens are participating in this campaign in Mumbai. The level of pollution in the western metropolis has decreased from 350 to 100 to 8, he asserted. In the presence of the Chief Minister, a complete cleanliness campaign was conducted at Nandikeshwar Temple, Shri Heramb Temple, Siddheshwar Cooperative Home Construction and Shanaishwar Temple in Kurla areas.MP Rahul Shewale, MLA Mangesh Kudalkar, former MLA Tukaram Kate, Additional Municipal Commissioner P. Velrasu along with senior officials were present. Shinde said the entire cleanliness campaign has become a people's movement. Phase-by-phase complete cleanliness campaign is being implemented in the state and through this campaign it will help to make Maharashtra clean, beautiful and green soon. People are actively participating in the campaign. Stating that the employees are working day and night to keep Mumbai clean, Shinde praised the sanitation workers.
