Mumbai, June 13 (Reporter) Sunetra Pawar, wife of NCP (AP) chief Ajit Pawar, on Thursday filed her candidature for the coming Rajya Sabha bye-elections in Maharashtra, party state president Sunil Tatkare announced. Tatkare told the media that the decision was taken by the NCP (AP) Parliamentary Board, which met on Wednesday night. The candidature of Sunetra Pawar, who lost from Baramati to NCP (SCP) chief Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule in the recent Lok Sabha election, was arrived at unanimously. She has been fielded for the seat vacated by the resignation of party Working President Praful Patel following last year's split in NCP. "Patel resigned from the Rajya Sabha after NCP split into Ajit and Sharad Pawar groups. He later was elected as NCP (AP) member to the Upper House. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the interests of the party and the future," he said. Tatkare also claimed there is no resentment in the party or in the grand alliance...////...
