Patna, June 11 (Reporter) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday directed the authorities to take all possible steps to protect the people of the state from scorching heat. Kumar, in his directive to the authorities concerned, asked all district magistrates to take the required measures for providing relief to people from scorching heat. Drinking water outlets, drinking water tankers, and other related facilities should be made available to people during the current heatwave in the state, he directed. Chief Minister said that people should be made aware of the precautions required to be taken by them to protect themselves from the scorching heat. The awareness drive should be launched through all mediums, including newspapers, channels, and even announcements on Mike in residential localities and busy thoroughfares, he added.
