Shirdi, Jun 19 (Reporter) Maharashtra NCP president and MP, Sunil Tatkare, on Wednesday advised party workers to gather mass support to strengthen the party organisation.
Presiding over a meeting held to review the Shirdi assembly constituency in temple town, he also advised them to work for people and solve their problems.
"The party workers should be aware of upcoming assembly elections. We have to face the assembly elections as a Mahayuti alliance and befittingly respond and counter Opposition's propaganda," he said.
"It is possible that Mahayuti will not field its candidates on all the seats across Maharashtra," he said and promised that he will not leave the party workers in the lurch in those constituencies where there is no Mahayuti candidate," Tatkare said.
He further stated that Ahmednagar district is the stronghold of NCP and always supported Ajit Pawar.
"We have to gather solid support. During the Lok Sabha elections and even now, Ajit Pawar is being targeted the most. This defamation campaign is being run not by our alliance partners but by the Opposition," he added.
